About Us
Founded in 1982, Tescom (formerly Colcom)
has been serving the telecommunications
industry for 25 years. The three
business principals that formed the
basis for starting the company are still
at work today:
First, provide services that are needed
by our customers and that exceed their
expected levels of service.
Second, perform these services for our
customers with the highest quality
standards.
Third, give the customer exceptional
value for the products and services
billed.
Today
our company is divided into three
divisions:
1. The
Service Division repairs portable
electronic test equipment for
telecommunications companies. Our four
repair labs in Austin, Texas, San Jose,
California, South Bend, Indians and New
Smyrna, Florida are located conveniently
to provide regional service near our
customers. We service thousands of
units per month including cable fault
locators, fiber optic testers,
transmission measuring sets and much
more.
2. The
Sales Division sells refurbished and new
telecommunications test equipment. We
provide everything from analog
transmission test sets to optical
network analyzers. The refurbished
products can save customers significant
amounts of money and make their capital
budgets go much further. Everything we
sell is guaranteed and certified by our
Service/Calibration Divisions.
3. The
Calibration
Laboratory is located at our
headquarters in Austin, Texas. We are an
ISO 9001 and 17025 certified lab for
providing metrology services to Central
Texas customers. Our services include
calibrating physical/dimensional
equipment, general electronic laboratory
sets and optical products.
